Biomedical Engineer (Application Consultant)

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site clinical evaluations to demonstrate product use and increase IGS product usage
• Provide on-site consulting and guidance to physicians and operating room personnel during surgery
• Lead installations and establish functionality at customer sites
• Educate and train physicians, operating staff, Radiology, and Biomedical staff on product use
• Recommend product modifications to contribute to quality improvement
• Act as primary customer liaison to assess satisfaction and increase revenue via service contracts and upgrades
• Strategize with Account Managers to evaluate customer opportunities
• Resolve product issues through detailed analysis and engineering expertise
• Promote products at trade shows and maintain ongoing product knowledge

Requirements

• B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Nursing or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company or provider preferred
• 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC software applications
• Ability to travel 50%+

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical support within a healthcare environment
• Background in clinical or biomedical engineering
