Biomedical Engineer

About the Company

AION is building sci-fi medical devices with a mission to bring aging under full biomedical control through closed-loop hardware that reads and writes bioelectric states in living tissue.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate custom hardware for biological experiments including cell culture devices, acoustic assemblies, fixtures, and enclosures
• Own the full loop from CAD to print to test
• Work directly with scientists to translate informal descriptions into functional, iterated parts
• Operate across scales and modalities including acoustics and magnetics

Requirements

• Fluency in parametric CAD
• Hands-on experience with engineering-grade 3D printing (PEEK, PC, CF-Nylon, etc.)
• Strong first-principles thinking skills
• Ability to work with teammates outside your own domain
• Generalist wiring capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to acoustics, ultrasonics, or EM hardware
