About the role
About the Company
AION is building sci-fi medical devices with a mission to bring aging under full biomedical control through closed-loop hardware that reads and writes bioelectric states in living tissue.
Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate custom hardware for biological experiments including cell culture devices, acoustic assemblies, fixtures, and enclosures
- Own the full loop from CAD to print to test
- Work directly with scientists to translate informal descriptions into functional, iterated parts
- Operate across scales and modalities including acoustics and magnetics
Requirements
- Fluency in parametric CAD
- Hands-on experience with engineering-grade 3D printing (PEEK, PC, CF-Nylon, etc.)
- Strong first-principles thinking skills
- Ability to work with teammates outside your own domain
- Generalist wiring capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to acoustics, ultrasonics, or EM hardware
