About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate medical records, accident metrics, and imaging to determine tissue tolerance and injury causation
- Execute the Texas Counter-Affidavit process by addressing clinical questions and injury relationship concerns
- Analyze the application of CPT codes in relation to usual and customary rates (UCR) and state fee schedules
- Provide medical necessity criteria or biomechanical guidelines within reports
- Serve as a deposition and trial expert when required
- Manage case deadlines and provide necessary addenda or clarifications to clients and courts
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License
- Active Board Certification
- Demonstrable expertise, training, or fellowship in biomechanics, injury causation, or collision reconstruction analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with the Texas Counter-Affidavit process
- Experience providing depositions and trial testimony
