Biology Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons aligned with curriculum standards and inquiry-based learning practices
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including English Language Learners and gifted students
• Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative classroom culture that promotes student well-being
• Use technology and innovative pedagogical approaches to enhance the learning experience
• Assess student progress using varied, authentic methods and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning and ongoing curriculum development
• Participate in co-curricular and community programmes to support holistic student development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a subject-related degree in Biology
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, state teaching license, or equivalent)
• Proven experience teaching High School Biology

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching within an American curriculum context
• Experience teaching within an IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum
