Bioinformatician Specialized in Spatial Transcriptomics

Responsibilities

• Process, analyze, and interpret spatial transcriptomics datasets from acromegaly-associated pituitary tumours
• Integrate multi-omics datasets including transcriptomic, genomic, epigenomic, and clinical data
• Develop and validate predictive models of treatment response using statistical modeling and machine learning
• Implement and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for high-throughput sequencing
• Collaborate with clinicians and molecular biologists in a multidisciplinary research environment
• Contribute to scientific publications, grant applications, and international conferences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
• Essential experience in spatial transcriptomics data processing and analysis
• Deep knowledge of neuroendocrinology and endocrine disorders
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Bash
• Experience with NGS data processing and bioinformatics tools (e.g., Bioconductor, SAMtools, BWA)
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning
• Fluent written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Elastic Net models, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), or Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Knowledge of C or C++
• Previous research experience in pituitary tumour biology or neuroendocrine diseases
• Experience in biomedical database management
