Bioengineer/Molecular Biologist

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize protein expression workflows including cell-free expression and E. coli systems
• Design and execute DNA synthesis and assembly protocols such as PCR, Golden Gate, and Gibson
• Develop new assays for thermostability, developability, and enzyme activity
• Perform hands-on bench work including molecular biology and data analysis
• Collaborate with the automation team to translate manual methods into automated workflows
• Analyze experimental data to identify failure modes and improve methods systematically

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related field
• Practical protein expression and purification skills
• Experience with DNA synthesis, cloning, or assembly methods
• Proficiency in data analysis for chromatograms, binding curves, and expression gels
• Rigorous experimental approach with a focus on reproducibility
• Interest in automation and translating protocols into automated workflows
• Independent and resourceful troubleshooting skills
