Biodiesel Operator, Loader

Responsibilities

• Load and unload biodiesel products into railcars, trucks, and barges
• Inspect products for quality indicators and perform sampling for retention and quality purposes
• Connect and disconnect hoses to trucks, tanks, and other storage units
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation and inventory paperwork
• Monitor and improve quality control processes for all plant shipping and receiving operations
• Perform general facility maintenance and housekeeping at load-out facilities
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines set by OSHA and other regulatory agencies

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Basic mechanical skills and general computer literacy
• Ability to climb semi-truck loading ladders
• Willingness to work in extreme outdoor elements and various weather conditions
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 lbs unassisted

Preferred Qualifications

• 6-12 months of general work experience, specifically in shipping and receiving
• Experience operating forklifts, locomotives, pallet jacks, or rail switches
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines
• Knowledge of arithmetic and the ability to distinguish colors
