Biodiesel Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor biodiesel manufacturing processes, including pumps, valves, and chemical treatment systems
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, PPE usage, and hazardous waste management
• Perform routine maintenance, minor mechanical repairs, and facility housekeeping
• Assist with load out and receiving functions for trucks and rail cars
• Conduct quality control testing on oil, biodiesel, glycerin, and water using lab equipment
• Monitor process variables and document work completed via master control systems
• Perform visual inspections of inventory and physical measurements, including working at heights

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills
• Computer literacy and ability to learn plant control systems
• Mathematical proficiency and knowledge of arithmetic applications
• Ability to operate forklifts, locomotives, and rail equipment
• Availability to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• 6-12 months of general work experience
• Previous experience in chemical processing or a related field
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Experience with continuous improvement processes
