About the role
Responsibilities
- Support safety and environmental goals by utilizing proper PPE and following OSHA/regulatory guidelines
- Monitor operating equipment including pumps, valves, and chemical treatment systems
- Assist in load out and receiving functions for trucks and rail cars
- Perform quality control functions for oil, biodiesel, glycerin, and water using lab equipment
- Conduct facility maintenance, equipment inspections, and minor mechanical repairs
- Operate forklifts, rail equipment, and the biodiesel master control system
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the process
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical and electrical skills
- Computer literacy and ability to learn plant control systems
- Mathematical proficiency and knowledge of arithmetic application
- Ability to operate forklift, locomotive, and rail equipment
- Availability to work overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
- 6-12 months of general work experience
- Previous experience in chemical processing or a related field
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with continuous improvement processes
