Biochemistry Biomedical Scientist

Responsibilities

• Conduct biochemical tests on patient samples and validate results
• Provide detailed reports to assist in diagnosis and treatment
• Perform analyser maintenance and handle phone requests including add-ons
• Contribute to the quality management system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Uphold high standards of laboratory practice in line with NHS protocols

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Essential NHS experience
• Post-registration experience in clinical biochemistry
• Experience working within a 24/7 shift system
• Familiarity with analyser maintenance and quality control procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of or working towards a specialist portfolio in clinical biochemistry
• Experience using Roche series analysers
• Experience using Winpath LIMS
