Binding Authority Underwriter Associate

Responsibilities

• Support the underwriting decision-making process by assessing and analyzing applications and forms
• Review submission information with underwriters, including detailed analysis of account information
• Coordinate the quoting, binding, and issuance process
• Research and apply appropriate rates, coverages, and policy forms
• Issue notices of cancellation, nonrenewal, or reinstatements
• Maintain accurate file documentation in accordance with company guidelines
• Develop and maintain superior relationships with underwriters, producers, brokers, and reinsurers
• Analyze the quality, quantity, and profitability of complex risks and prepare reports for management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Business Administration or Risk Management preferred)
• 1+ years of related experience or experience in a similar role
• Possession of required state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designation
