Bindery Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate bindery equipment including stitchers, drills, padder, strappers, and shrink wrap machines
• Ensure quality and accuracy of printed products through careful proofreading of names, numbers, and wording
• Build boxes, insert necessary flyers, apply correct mailing labels, and seal packages for shipment
• Scan boxed orders into tracking systems (FedEx, UPS, or USPS) and print appropriate labels
• Prepare skids of product for shipment and coordinate with truck line brokers for LTL shipments
• Process international mail and complete all necessary required paperwork
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked workstation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift training and experience operating pallet jacks
• Strong proofreading and reading comprehension skills
• Basic math skills for weighing packages and managing inventory counts
• Ability to lift 20 lbs+ and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, and kneeling for 8-10 hours
• Proficiency using computers for shipment tracking and inventory management
