Bindery Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate bindery equipment including stitchers, drills, padders, strappers, and shrink wrap machines
• Ensure quality and accuracy of printed products through careful proofreading and comparison to header sheets
• Build, label, and seal boxes for shipment, ensuring all necessary flyers and materials are included
• Scan boxed orders into tracking systems (FedEx, UPS, or USPS) and print appropriate labels
• Prepare skids of product for shipment and coordinate with truck line brokers for LTL shipments
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked workstation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift training and experience operating pallet jacks
• Strong proofreading and reading comprehension skills
• Basic math skills for weighing packages and managing inventory counts
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for 8-10 hours a day
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing 20 lbs or more

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics environment
• Familiarity with quality control processes in a printing or manufacturing setting
• Understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations
