Bindery Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate bindery equipment including cutters, folders, stitchers, inserters, and binding machines
• Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules to ensure accuracy
• Adjust machine settings to maintain proper alignment, cutting, folding, and binding
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
• Maintain production efficiency while minimizing waste and following safety procedures
• Collaborate with press operators, mailing teams, and supervisors to meet production deadlines
• Accurately complete production and quality control documentation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read measurements and job specifications accurately
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours and perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of bindery or print production experience
• Direct experience working with industrial cutters, folders, stitchers, or inserters
