BIM/CAD Technician (Civil Infra)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with BIM and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with established policies and processes.
• Develop engineering drawings, including layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, and component details from rough sketches or design information.
• Manage BIM-related activities from project startup through to completion.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation, and adherence to company QA/QC standards.
• Create parametric and non-parametric families and manage content creation.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to resolve coordination issues and manage model development tasks.
• Utilize Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and the production of clash reports.
• Perform scheduling and quantity extraction from models.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience specifically in infrastructure, roads, and bridges.
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise and BIM360.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
