BIM Intern (Mission Critical/Data Center) – Summer 2026

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills
• Learn basic principles of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related software
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis
• Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation
• Complete training on assigned tasks and follow WSP’s Code of Conduct

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related undergraduate program
• Anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later
• Demonstrated interest in Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Proficiency in technical writing and office automation software
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Master’s or PhD program in a related engineering field
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or Load Calculation Software (Trace3D)
• Proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite
• Prior relevant internship, extracurricular, or campus leadership involvement
