BIM Coordinator - MEP

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the process of managing and creating digital information according to BIM methodology
• Establish and maintain BIM workflows and BIM execution plans (BEPs)
• Manage the federated model process and resolve coordination issues
• Utilize Bentley ProjectWise, OpenBuilding Designer, and MicroStation for 3D CAD model creation
• Ensure models meet project requirements and implement clash avoidance and internal audits
• Maintain the ProjectWise Common Data Environment to ensure accurate information flow
• Manage a small team of BIM Modellers and CAD Technicians
• Provide technical support and guidance to project team members
• Support the development of BIM processes, templates, and reusable digital resources

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in Engineering or Technical functions
• At least 2 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator in major infrastructure or transportation projects
• Proficiency with Bentley ProjectWise, MicroStation, OpenRail Designer, OpenBuilding Designer, Raceway, and iTwin Design Review
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, design integration, and relevant legislation
• Excellent communication and digital management skills
• Must have the right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in a Numerate, Scientific, or Engineering subject
• Chartered Engineer/Technician membership
• Knowledge of rail engineering, Network Rail standards, and UK design standards (HS2, TfL)
• Experience with Synchro, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, or TopoDOT
• Experience producing BEPs, TIDP, MIDP, and MPDT
