BIM/CAD Technician (Roads)

Responsibilities

• Perform various drafting assignments for highway design packages and support highway design-related activities
• Develop engineering drawings including basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, and component details from sketches
• Manage BIM-related activities from project start-up to completion, ensuring compliance with policies and processes
• Review drawings for readability, presentation, and adherence to company QA/QC standards
• Create parametric and non-parametric families and manage content creation
• Collaborate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks
• Utilize Navisworks for clash detection and produce detailed clash reports
• Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from models

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience specifically in roads, highways, road signs, marking, or traffic studies
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Experience using Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise, BIM360, or ACC
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes and LOD requirements
• Ability to communicate clearly in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and OpenRoads
• Proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks
