Billing Specialist III

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process all billing transactions and authorize billing adjustments
• Perform collection actions, including client phone calls and resubmitting billing to proper entities
• Follow up on past due invoices and failed billing to prevent delinquency issues
• Conduct research and perform reconciliations on financial transactions
• Create reports identifying delinquent accounts
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all county guidelines and policies
• Manage weekly and monthly billing processes

Requirements

• One academic year from an accredited college or university (two years of related experience may be substituted for one year of education)
• Two years of experience in billing
• Valid Texas motor vehicle operator’s license
• Ability to be insured by the County’s insurance carrier

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Strong analytical and communication skills
