About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers and field service representatives via phone and email in a help desk environment.
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on medical devices to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Document and manage customer interactions and field service work order requests using approved contact management systems.
- Conduct customer follow-up activities to confirm issue resolution and close service interactions.
- Review, create, and track service part orders within the Order Management System.
- Document and track engineering part returns for failure analysis in accordance with company procedures.
- Support field service, marketing, and sales teams with technical input regarding product releases, upgrades, and documentation.
- Read and interpret technical service manuals, bulletins, blueprints, and electrical schematic diagrams.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (required).
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in biomedical, electrical, or mechanical engineering (or a related technical field), OR a degree in another field combined with relevant technical work experience, OR a high school diploma with hands-on technical experience.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude through hands-on experience such as internships, academic projects, or practical work in a technical environment.
- Exposure to electrical and/or mechanical systems, including basic troubleshooting, testing, or diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including manuals, blueprints, or schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada for training as required.
