About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies for aerospace and defense engineering roles, including systems, avionics, mechanical, and software.
- Source, screen, and engage candidates in both French and English to provide a high-touch, consultative experience.
- Partner with hiring managers and program leads to understand technical requirements and project timelines.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines using advanced sourcing techniques like Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and X-ray.
- Provide market intelligence regarding talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and competitor activity.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from initial intake through offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with hiring standards and DEI best practices.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, specifically focused on engineering roles.
- Proven expertise recruiting within the Aerospace, Defense, or highly regulated engineering sectors.
- Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required.
- Strong technical understanding of engineering disciplines such as systems, avionics, embedded systems, or mechanical design.
- Advanced sourcing capabilities and experience with competitor mapping and passive candidate engagement.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze recruiting metrics like pipeline health and time-to-fill.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting US or cross-border (US/Canada) hiring.
- Familiarity with security clearance processes or compliance-heavy environments.
- Previous experience in engineering services or consulting organizations.
