Bilingual Patient Account Representative

Responsibilities

• Perform rebilling, follow-up, and collection activity for assigned payers
• Research, appeal, and address patient account balances
• Document all pertinent collection activity thoroughly
• Verify claims adjudication using appropriate resources
• Initiate contact with parties responsible for reimbursement via telephone or letter
• Edit and update claim information to meet billing compliance guidelines
• Handle patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Participate in monthly meetings and training seminars

Requirements

• Bilingual fluency
• Insurance collections experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Billing/EMR software
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask with high attention to detail
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
