Bilingual Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs, perform blood draws, and administer injections
• Assist OB/GYN providers during examinations and in-office procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the EHR system
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms following HIPAA and safety protocols
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
• CMA, CNA, or completion of an accredited medical assisting program
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Clinical skills for performing blood draws and other basic clinical duties
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to reliably commute to both St. Petersburg and Largo, FL

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in OB/GYN or women's health
• Experience using ATHENAHEALTH EHR
