About the role
Responsibilities
- Onboard newly hired employees including handbook overview, employment documents, and benefit enrollment
- Create and maintain complete and confidential employee files and personnel documentation
- Assist with company benefit administration, enrollment, and claims resolution
- Establish and maintain department records and reports to improve efficiency
- Respond to information requests from governmental agencies such as unemployment
- Maintain employee data including earnings, absences, payroll changes, and terminations
- Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, and benefits
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Previous Human Resources or Office Management experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills in a fast-growth environment
