Bilingual Counselor

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 counseling to students aged 14-17 to build extracurricular profiles and manage college applications
• Meet with students both remotely and in person to generate creative trajectories and projects
• Edit essays and provide feedback to foster independent writing skills in students
• Collaborate with a team of counselors to support student progress and manage program milestones
• Maintain close communication with families to provide updates and deliver parent education
• Build and maintain trustworthy relationships with students and their families
• Work alongside the Education Team to create and implement comprehensive curriculum

Requirements

• Native Mandarin speaker
• Undergraduate or Graduate education experience in the United States
• Proven experience in college counseling
• Strong communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds
• Extremely detail-oriented, diligent, and proactive with an impeccable work ethic
• Ability to respect strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• English or Education major
• Admissions experience at the undergraduate or graduate level
• Experience in college counseling across multiple regions (UK, Hong Kong, Australia, or Canada)
• Strong emotional support and stress management skills for students and families
