Bilingual Copy Editor/English to Spanish Translator

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive copy editing and proofreading of English and Spanish content across diverse media
• Write, translate, adapt, and transcreate copy between English and Spanish while maintaining intent, tone, and cultural appropriateness
• Conduct thorough reviews to identify and correct grammatical, typographical, and structural errors
• Liaise with copywriters to determine effective communication strategies for advertising materials
• Stay current with grammatical developments and linguistic trends in both languages
• Ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently within established timeframes
• Provide linguistic support and guidance to the Account Team on client grammatical queries
• Contribute to broader creative efforts including social media initiatives and brainstorming sessions

Requirements

• Full, native-level command and fluency in both English and Spanish
• Proven strong copy editing and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail
• Solid understanding of advertising terminology and marketing copy nuances
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Translation Memory software such as Wordfast
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Strong understanding of tone, grammar, and style

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Translation Professional certification
