Bid Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead tender activities for construction, erection, and installation scope within complex energy projects.
• Define site execution strategies and develop constructability approaches in collaboration with site teams.
• Develop competitive, data-driven cost models and preliminary execution timelines.
• Identify construction-related risks and develop mitigation plans to safeguard project progress and schedule.
• Review client specifications, site conditions, and contractual provisions impacting project delivery.
• Collaborate with EHS teams to define site-specific health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Define subcontracting approaches to optimize cost, quality, and partner performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a strong equivalent technical background.
• 8+ years of site construction, installation, commissioning, or project execution experience.
• Experience within power generation, transmission, substations, grid infrastructure, or related industrial projects.
• Proven experience leading bid development activities or execution planning for large, complex projects.
• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong commercial, contractual, and risk management knowledge.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 20–30%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically with FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) technologies.
• Experience in the North American energy market.
