Bicycle Retail Service Writer

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level customer service and ensure a positive guest experience
• Manage all customer communication for the Service Department and write work orders
• Accurately document equipment condition, including missing or damaged parts
• Oversee workflow, service department staffing, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Schedule appointments and manage repair schedules to streamline workshop operations
• Provide technical consultations and unbiased product advice to customers
• Collaborate with the sales team to maintain an organized and stocked sales floor
• Assist with the assembly and installation of large accessories
• Foster customer relationships through upselling and expert recommendations

Requirements

• Two+ years of bike mechanic experience with technical knowledge of bicycles and components
• Proven sales ability and experience in retail or customer service
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Google Workspace
• Physical ability to lift and move bicycles and equipment up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
