About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level customer service and ensure a positive guest experience
- Manage all customer communication for the Service Department and write work orders
- Accurately document equipment condition, including missing or damaged parts
- Oversee workflow, service department staffing, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Schedule appointments and manage repair schedules to streamline workshop operations
- Provide technical consultations and unbiased product advice to customers
- Collaborate with the sales team to maintain an organized and stocked sales floor
- Assist with the assembly and installation of large accessories
- Foster customer relationships through upselling and expert recommendations
Requirements
- Two+ years of bike mechanic experience with technical knowledge of bicycles and components
- Proven sales ability and experience in retail or customer service
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Google Workspace
- Physical ability to lift and move bicycles and equipment up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
