Bicycle Retail Service Writer

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level customer service and professional communication
• Complete scheduled repairs and assist with intake and advanced troubleshooting
• Manage warranty repair work and manufacturer claims
• Perform quality control on work orders, new builds, and bike sales
• Maintain service department organization, including tools, equipment, and inventory
• Assist with assembly and installation of large accessories
• Listen to customer needs and offer expert product recommendations

Requirements

• Passion for bicycles and the cycling industry
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Google Workspace
• Physical ability to lift and move bicycles and equipment up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous bike mechanic experience
• Technical knowledge of bicycles, components, and accessories
