BI Tester Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead testing efforts for Business Intelligence (BI) projects to ensure data and reporting meet business standards
• Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for ETL, data warehouses, and data lakes
• Oversee the end-to-end testing lifecycle including functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT
• Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and analysts to align testing with requirements
• Conduct data validation, transformation, and integrity testing across multiple sources
• Utilize SQL and scripting to automate data validation and reporting tests
• Identify, log, and track defects while providing mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in BI and data testing
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and querying large datasets
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or SSIS
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and scripting languages like Python or Shell
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts and data modeling
• Experience with Agile/SDLC methodologies and tools like JIRA

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in BI or testing (ISTQB, etc.)
• Experience with cloud-based data services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role
