BI Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop intuitive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI desktop
• Build and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources including the Enterprise Data Warehouse
• Design, implement, and maintain data models and data warehouses
• Implement row-level security and role-based access control within Power BI
• Manage the BI Jira space, covering project delivery, BAU activities, and backlog management
• Coordinate with offshore resources to ensure delivery aligns with quality standards and timelines
• Automate data refresh processes and monitor report performance and usage
• Define Power BI standards and best practices to improve user adoption across the organization
• Conduct data quality checks and provide technical documentation for design methodologies

Requirements

• Strong experience with SQL, Power BI, and DAX
• Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and analytics concepts
• Experience with row-level security and application security layer models
• Proven experience with CI/CD for BI assets, including deployment pipelines and environment management
• Experience operating in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric and Data Factory
• Experience with data sources such as SQL, SharePoint, and Excel
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in a financial environment (Private Equity, Private Debt, Funds, or Investment)
• Experience with portfolio management or working for a Development Finance Institution (DFI)
• Relevant professional certifications
• Knowledge of Power Apps
