BI Developer

Responsibilities

• Perform Snowflake administration, including managing warehouses, databases, roles, user management, and resource monitors.
• Implement and maintain RBAC and governance strategies, including access reviews and data masking policies.
• Monitor Snowflake usage and costs, generating visualizations to track compute and storage consumption.
• Manage Fivetran connector health and dbt Core CI/CD processes.
• Administer Tableau environments, including site management, permissions, and extract refresh monitoring.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and onboarding materials for the data stack.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working on a production Snowflake platform.
• Strong Snowflake administration skills (RBAC, resource monitors, query profiling, and ACCOUNT_USAGE views).
• Operating experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) and Fivetran.
• Advanced SQL query performance tuning capabilities.
• Experience with BI platform administration (Tableau preferred, or Looker/Power BI).
• Proven track record of cloud warehouse cost optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced: Administrator certification.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex functions and LLM cost mechanics.
• Proficiency in Python for automation tasks such as access reviews and cost reporting.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and data observability tooling.
• Background working in a SaaS or high-trust data environment.
