BG Engineering & Development Injection Professional

Responsibilities

• Lead mold design and manufacturing processes to ensure efficient product and mold engineering convergence.
• Define technical specifications for molds and propose assumptions for RFQ activities in collaboration with purchasing and product teams.
• Optimize molding process settings for cosmetic and geometric requirements.
• Manage injection molding process control, including the use of in-mold sensors for tuning and production.
• Conduct feasibility analysis for product design and mold design, including leading Molds FMEA.
• Assess tool design (sizing, kinematics, cooling, injection) to ensure compliance with safety standards, cost optimization, and operational performance.
• Monitor toolmaker technical activities from initial milling to First Off Tool (FOT) to guarantee quality and lead time.
• Support plant teams in improving performance and product quality after mold transfer and during serial life.
• Identify and implement technical solutions for continuous improvement of cost, lead time, and quality.

Requirements

• Technician degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification.
• 5 to 10 years of significant experience in molds and injection molding processes.
• Expertise in product design for injection process manufacturing and mold design/manufacturing.
• Experience with 2, 3, and 4K rotational molds.
• Strong understanding of the rheology behavior of melt plastics.
• Experience in thick section injection molding, specifically with LED grade polycarbonates.
