Beverage Shift Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee beverage personnel and operations across multiple outlets, including restaurants, lounges, and service bars
• Manage departmental performance, including hiring, training, and employee engagement
• Ensure all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property standards are implemented and applied
• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and federal/state laws
• Facilitate communication between departments and preside over scheduled team meetings
• Manage guest relations with patience, tact, and diplomacy to ensure high satisfaction
• Coordinate with the Assistant Director of Beverage on special projects and seasonal menu changes
• Assign staff to various locations based on skills, experience, and job requirements
• Maintain high team morale and ensure all beverage reports are submitted timely

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain and maintain registration with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
• High School degree or equivalent required
• Minimum of 5 years of bartending experience
• Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office
• Fluency in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work overnight shifts and varying schedules based on business needs
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in hotel or restaurant management or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
• ServSafe or equivalent certification
• Experience in both union and non-union working environments
• Proficiency in purchasing, warehouse requisition, and time-keeping software
