BestDrive Service Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in daily service operations, including shop workflow and road service dispatch coordination
• Perform hands-on tire service work such as mounting, balancing, repairs, and inspections
• Provide real-time direction, coaching, and task coordination to service technicians
• Ensure all service work complies with established safety standards and procedures
• Serve as a first-level escalation point for customer and fleet service concerns
• Enforce safety programs including OSHA, DOT, and internal standards (PPE, lock-out/tag-out, etc.)
• Maintain service vehicle tools, equipment, and inventory levels

Requirements

• Automotive or commercial tire industry experience in a service or operations role
• Demonstrated ability to lead and guide technicians in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills for interacting with technicians, customers, and leadership
• Working knowledge of tire service procedures and fleet service operations
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting 150+ lbs and standing for long periods
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call support

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in the commercial tire industry
• Prior experience as a lead technician or informal team lead
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or military experience
