BESS Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility-scale BESS systems
• Implement firmware updates and module replacement
• Execute hot/cold commissioning
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform electrical/mechanical repairs
• Safely perform battery charge/discharge cycles
• Follow all health and safety policies, including LOTO procedures
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Complete quality assurance inspections and daily digital reporting
• Participate in on-call weekend services on a rotating schedule

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift 75lb
• Digital literacy with mobile apps and Microsoft Office
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Ability to travel throughout the US
• Ability to work in adverse weather and extreme temperatures

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in electrical or mechanical fields
• State certified Journeyman license
