Benefits Systems Analyst

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain employee benefits data feeds between the benefits platform and external vendors.
• Optimize the benefits platform to improve performance, usability, and data accuracy.
• Manage retirement contribution transmittals, ensuring accurate payroll contributions and employer matches.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state benefit regulations, including ACA 1095-C reporting and 5500 filings.
• Reconcile retirement plan contributions and audit carrier invoices to address discrepancies.
• Conduct audits to identify system bugs, data discrepancies, and ensure data integrity through regular testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, human resources, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in benefits administration, HRIS, payroll, or a related field.
• Technical experience with system integrations, conversions, and the full lifecycle of system configuration and testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
• Strong data analysis and synthesis skills with the ability to present findings to various audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, confidential environment with changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or Project Management.
• Experience working in a higher education environment.
