Benefits Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic lead and hands-on executor for North American group benefit programs (US, Canada, and Mexico).
• Optimize regional workflows by mapping manual tasks and partnering with HR Tech to implement automated and AI-driven solutions.
• Manage the daily regional benefits ticketing queue, acting as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and vendor escalations.
• Drive the operational execution of annual open enrollment, including system testing, data auditing, and processing life events.
• Ensure regional compliance by managing ACA processes, COBRA administration, and the distribution of legally required notices.
• Audit and reconcile monthly premium billing and assist leadership with annual broker renewals, vendor evaluations, and RFPs.
• Present benefits information during new hire orientations and lead employee engagement sessions such as webinars and Q&A.
• Partner with the Global Leave of Absence Program Manager to coordinate regional pay and system updates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in US benefits administration and operations.
• Proven ability to work effectively as an Individual Contributor in a highly autonomous role.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms, with a strong preference for Workday.
• Exceptional data management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, systems-minded approach to identifying and automating manual processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing benefits administration in Canada and/or Mexico.
• Experience managing carrier transitions and HRIS integrations.
