About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage daily benefits operations, including enrollment, eligibility tracking, and employee communications.
- Oversee administration of medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, HRA, COBRA, and voluntary benefits.
- Lead open enrollment activities, including system configuration, vendor coordination, and employee education.
- Partner with brokers and vendors to manage benefit plans, renewals, and billing reconciliations.
- Administer 401(k) plans and coordinate annual audits and Form 5500 filings.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, and FMLA.
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing of new hires, terminations, and benefit deductions.
- Support and track employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, parental leave, and short-term disability.
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual benefits reports to ensure data integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, benefits, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, COBRA, and FMLA.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Paylocity, ZOHO People, JIRA, or Workday.
- Experience with bswift or similar benefits administration platforms.
