Benefit Specialist

Responsibilities

• Source, analyze, and maintain up-to-date healthcare benefits information to support Health Guides and members
• Conduct quality audits and maintain accountability for accuracy
• Maintain the content management system and member-facing benefits tools, primarily for small group and mid-sized clients
• Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to assess benefit ecosystem priorities
• Answer benefit questions and help members understand cost-sharing responsibilities such as deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums
• During peak periods, support the navigation team by sourcing high-quality care providers based on member needs and preferences

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of healthcare benefits including medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision
• Ability to synthesize benefit information and healthcare jargon into plain language
• Strong analytic and research skills related to client benefit offerings
• Impeccable verbal and written communication
• Technological proficiency; content management system experience is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Google Docs/Sheets
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask across projects
• Continuous process improvement mindset with a desire to enable scaling
