About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer health and welfare benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
- Manage client-sponsored plan setups, carrier enrollments, reconciliations, and ongoing support.
- Process daily status change reports, including insurance enrollments, terminations, and qualified life events.
- Respond to benefits inquiries regarding plan provisions, enrollments, and status changes.
- Participate in open enrollment activities and work directly with carriers to resolve claims and eligibility issues.
- Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy of benefits-related data.
- Review and manage benefits eligibility, deduction information, and payroll interface reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration.
- Experience working in or with insurance agencies or brokers.
- Previous experience within a Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
- Proficiency with iSolved HCM (PrismHR experience is a plus).
- Strong MS Office skills, specifically intermediate Microsoft Excel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, PPA, and ERISA.
