About the role

Responsibilities

  • Administer health and welfare benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
  • Manage client-sponsored plan setups, carrier enrollments, reconciliations, and ongoing support.
  • Process daily status change reports for insurance enrollments, terminations, and qualified life events.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries regarding plan provisions, enrollments, and status changes.
  • Participate in open enrollment activities and work with carriers to resolve claims and eligibility issues.
  • Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy of benefits-related data.
  • Oversee benefits eligibility and deduction data by reviewing interface reports between payroll and carriers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Experience working in or with insurance agencies or brokers.
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
  • Familiarity with ClientSpace and PrismHR software.
