Bench Hand, Additive

Responsibilities

• Perform metal finishing processes, including deburring and removing support material, to meet engineering specifications
• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment such as heat treat ovens, wire EDMs, grinding equipment, and grit blast cabinets
• Utilize hand tools including files, grinders, drills, and scotch brite for precision finishing and assembly
• Conduct inspections and testing using measuring equipment to ensure parts meet blueprint and tolerance requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and part identification in accordance with planning specifications
• Clean and organize the cellular manufacturing work area to maintain established standards
• Support team goals by reducing scrap and improving throughput in a 3rd shift environment (10:00pm - 6:30am)

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, specifically with bench assembly, machining, deburring, or cleaning
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting basic blueprint drawings and following instructions
• Knowledge of GD&T specifications and ability to perform basic inspections
• Experience using common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 50 pounds and maintaining specific grip strength

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment
