Responsibilities

• Promote and deliver trauma-attuned behavioral interventions to promote academic and mental health stability
• Observe and collect behavioral data regarding frequency, intensity, and duration for interdisciplinary reporting
• Provide in-classroom support, de-escalation, and crisis intervention as needed
• Assist with the construction and implementation of behavioral intervention plans
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams to lead or assist in student activities and groups
• Develop strong working relationships with school leadership, teachers, and paraprofessionals
• Maintain student record confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Document student observations following prescribed standards

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a school or mental health setting, preferably with children/adolescents ages 5-18
• Knowledge of mental illness treatment for highly acute children and adolescents
• Experience with behavioral data collection, analysis, and intervention plan implementation
• Experience with crisis management and de-escalation
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience working with students, families, and community health agencies

• Certified Behavioral Therapist
