About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop appropriate behavioral strategies and plans using Positive Behavioral Supports.
  • Implement data collection tools, interpret data, and present findings to the Human Rights Committee.
  • Provide in-service training to staff and external contractors regarding Positive Behavioral Supports and instructional methods.
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources, social groups, and employment opportunities.
  • Monitor support situations through routine visits and participate in individual team meetings.
  • Analyze and compile relevant data to ensure services and supports are effective for each individual served.
  • Promote the dignity, respect, and legal rights of all individuals while encouraging safe decision-making and healthy lifestyles.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Mental Health, or a related field (or be within 6 months of completion).
  • At least two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities who engage in challenging behaviors.
