About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary responder to acute behavioral crises across all dorm programs
  • Respond to elopements, including initiating and coordinating search protocols
  • Provide on-the-spot de-escalation using trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches (DBT, CBT)
  • Maintain a visible, calm, and regulated presence during periods of heightened acuity
  • Implement physical intervention techniques in accordance with CPI protocols
  • Monitor milieu climate and proactively identify escalation risks
  • Provide temporary 1:1 supervision support and assist with safe client transport
  • Complete timely and accurate incident reports in EMR
  • Communicate with Program Supervisors and Clinical staff following significant incidents

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with adolescents or young adults in a residential or behavioral health setting
  • Ability to complete CPI certification upon hire
  • Strong physical stamina for a large campus environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to remain calm and clinically focused under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, or a related field
  • Experience in a residential treatment center or congregate care setting
  • Familiarity with DBT, trauma-informed care, or behavioral management frameworks
