About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide integrated behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families within a team-based care system.
  • Assess patients to determine appropriate levels of treatment in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Conduct mental health screenings using standardized instruments and provide psychotherapy to individuals.
  • Collaborate with medical and dental providers to ensure high standards of integrated healthcare.
  • Manage the psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases and provide psychoeducation and brief interventions.
  • Act as a patient advocate for vulnerable populations to ensure they are fully informed and comfortable with their care.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, clinical social work, or an equivalent field.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
  • Ability to obtain Colorado state licensure within 3 years of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of low-income and ethnic minority communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of post-licensure experience treating patients with psychosocial issues.
