About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families within an integrated healthcare system.
- Assess patients to determine appropriate levels of treatment in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
- Conduct mental health screenings using standardized instruments and provide psychotherapy to individuals.
- Collaborate with medical and dental providers to ensure high standards of integrated care and manage psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases.
- Act as a patient advocate for vulnerable populations, ensuring they are informed and comfortable with their care.
- Consult with healthcare team members to assist patients and families in overcoming social and emotional difficulties.
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, clinical social work, or an equivalent field.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
- Must obtain Colorado state licensure within 3 years of hire.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and sensitivity to low-income and ethnic minority communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of post-licensure experience treating patients with psychosocial issues.
