Behavioral Health Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Design and implement behavioral health programs addressing patient mental health needs
• Oversee program initiatives ensuring completion within timelines, budgets, and standards
• Manage behavioral health program budgets and resource allocation
• Monitor operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements and healthcare standards
• Collaborate with clinical staff, administrators, and external stakeholders
• Track and evaluate program performance using established metrics
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
• Provide leadership and direction to behavioral health program staff
• Perform a mix of clinical (60%) and administrative (40%) duties
• Manage staffing coordination, training, records management, and quality assurance

Requirements

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license in Texas or ability to obtain one
• Minimum 7 years of post-independent licensure clinical experience
• Minimum 6 years of administrative supervisory experience
• Master's Degree in a relevant healthcare field (or PhD/PsyD/LCSW/LICSW)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to respond 24/7 to staff for consultation
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence
• Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and medical examination

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in correctional or similar institutional healthcare environments
• Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness
• Proficiency in Spanish
