About the role

Responsibilities

  • Educate graduate students on topics involving patient care and the identification and treatment of substance use disorders
  • Create and deliver graduate-level courses through both didactic and interactive learning experiences
  • Assess student performance and engage in interactive learning activities
  • Participate in scholarly activities focused on the effectiveness of the MS-MHP curriculum and instructional methods
  • Serve on college and university committees and participate in professional organizations

Requirements

  • MSW, PhD, PsyD, MSN (Mental Health Nurse Practitioner), or MPAS (Psychiatric Physician Assistant)
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a substance use disorder treatment facility
  • Proven experience in training mental health providers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in curriculum and course development and implementation
  • Interest in educational innovation and contemporary teaching approaches
  • A track record of scholarship and the ability to mentor students and fellows
  • Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff, and students
